Last summer, I traveled to Southern California and worked for a great web development firm, or advertising agency. The experience has become a chance to explore a little more of the world and I truly learned a great deal. At first, I had unwavering plans for another trip and had contemplated the east coast or possibly Alaska. However, as I look forward and realize I have just one more year of college, I determined that then, I may be leaving Iowa for the long term. So, I am reconsidering my trip plans.

Alaska came to mind simply because I watched the Simpsons movie again while in California and noticed they travel to the frozen state. After checking craigslist for web development positions, I became unsure about the choice. The east coast came to mind as a natural progression forward from the west coast. My decision is by no means final but has strong conventions behind it. It will be interesting to see what interesting work I can find staying here in Cedar Rapids.
