It's been another generally typical mid-western winter here in Iowa. With the calendar proceeding further and further past the New Year, there is no doubt that things will be warming up. I often get the chance to compare and joke about the weather patterns here compared to Santa Monica as I communicate back and forth with my employer. All in good fun, I am still looking forward to moving to California shortly after graduation. It will be a welcome change to undoubtedly bring new opportunities to the table.

I must admit that I do enjoy a taste of winter from time to time and the snow is a nice ambiance addition around Christmas, but I also like traveling to warmer areas (Florida, California, etc.) during the colder months to experience the perfect balance of warmth with cool breezes. While I have been to California several times, I have yet to experience Christmas there. Living there during Christmas will certainly offer a unique experience that I would like to absorb. Comparing and contrasting the celebration events and decorations would prove fun as well.
